Dear Colleagues and Friends,
I am deeply honoured and enthusiastic to become the new President of ANZMS. I have been inspired during my 12 years as a member then as a member on the Executive Board. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Marianne who, as President, has shown outstanding vision and leadership for ANZMS. Our Society has a great history and a long list of outstanding researchers as Past-Presidents and Committee Members.
Together with Maria, our Secretary, and the members of the Board, I will aim to foster many new projects and ideas. These will include the promotion of scholarships for students and ECR; notably with our sister society in Switzerland.
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our newly redesigned website, which strives to be more informative and user friendly. This year our Meeting will be again a joint meeting with AVBS. As it will follow the World Congress on Inflammation and AAVBM, it will be held in Sydney, September 19-22, in the Holme Building of the University of Sydney.
We will announce a Prize for microcirculation-related images. More soon on our website.
